This is a bit more than I needed but I can see using this in other foods. It does have a unique flavor and smell, tastes kind of like eggs and smells like sulfur. This seasoning is awesome. I love how it transforms from pink to black when it hits a hot plate. The taste is astounding; reminds me of scrambled eggs.I've only used it once but it definitely helped give the chickpea scramble a egg smell.Excellent for tofu scramble’s. Taste just like eggsI use this for a vegan potato salad and it still gives the dish that perfect "eggy" taste. Excellent spice to have in your pantry! This product is decent. We used it to make vegan tofu scrambled taste more “eggy”, but it didn’t quite achieve the taste or smell we’ve hoped for. While the scramble tastes good in its own way, it wasn’t really comparable to eggs. If we lose that expectation, that this salt will make tofu taste like egg, then I’d say it’s a fair product.I used this on the plant-based egg product 'Just Eggs', and it made it taste amazing. I'm not sure what else to use it on, but if you like egg tasting things, then this is the salt for you. It does have a very fine powder-like texture so be careful when you pour.I don’t eat eggs because of the cruelty involved. Grinding up male chicks ? is common not to mention the condition hens live in. However, I grew up not knowing these things and often eating and liking eggs. So this salt is perfect to add egg flavor to tofu scramble, potato salad, mock tuna salad, etc. I’m glad I discovered it!
